Unreal Engine 5 has already transformed the gaming industry by enhancing the quality of visual effects in immersive video games. Now, it's also gearing up to revolutionize character creation.

Its native character customization tool, MetaHuman, has limited options, but new software is on the market that can work well together with Unreal Engine 5: Reblika Software's brand-new Reblium' tool.About the Tool

The newly launched software called Reblium offers a bunch of new character customization options as well as the ability to export characters to Unreal Engine 5. You can check out a detailed how-to tutorial here.

For those who don't know, Reblika Software's Reblium allows users to create digital humans and 3D scans for the fashion, gaming, and film industries. Interestingly, though, the tool was initially developed for internal use only.

However, the company then decided to make it public so that users who want more options in creating their game characters have an easy way to do it.

The tool comprises three main parts: a Character Creator, a Character Configurator, and a Character Generator. The best bit is that the customization options are truly endless. For instance, you can add facial details like acne, freckles, lines, vitiligo, and so much more.

You can also make the hair look more natural by adding visual effects like contours and gradients. Coming to the physical appearance, you can change the character's height and weight, as well as individually edit each body part, such as its jaws or shoulders to make them bigger or smaller.

What's more, you also get equally diverse options for makeup, costumes, accessories, and props. The future potential for both Reblium and Unreal Engine 5 is endless.

It's also worth noting that popular gaming developer Hoyoverse has already been considering using Unreal Engine 5 for its own products. Plus, some fans have even recreated their favorite games in Unreal Engine 5.
