AMD driver causing boot issue Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
by Mark_667 from LinuxQuestions.org on (#6QVVV)
I have an older Vega 56 graphics card on an otherwise new build running Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and installed the proprietary driver for it.
While fine initially, I think it's now causing a boot issue. It consistently never boots past starting Gnome Display Manager.
Trying to get a shell with ctrl+shift+F2 doesn't respond.
I found a stack trace in the syslog: https://pastebin.com/CwpigHJ6
Is there a way to change what driver it uses without reinstalling?
