Tried installing Ubuntu, had the gui up and was updating to most recent nvidia drivers. Rebooted. Stuck on login screen with only background image. Tried EVERY SINGLE FIX KNOWN TO MAN in the command line. No luck. Decided to switch to centos after doing some research on what Iill be using it for ivid editingi.
Booted centos9 stream, no gui installeri. Of course.
Proceeded with text install.
Reboot.
Back to login screen with only background.
Driver is nouveau.
Tried installing kmod-nvidia. It fails with inothing provides kernel with:i errors.
Im so frustrated, did i brick my gpu or something?
Iim dual booted with windows on this machine and everything works in that OS so i have no clue what to do.
