Google Earth vs earth.google.com

I've recently built Gooogle Earth from the Slackbuild. I had occasion to zero in on these coordinates for someone: Code:53.10707944,-6.58903684In google earth, the level of detail once you exit street view is very poor. But the same location in earth.google.com shows fine detail. Am I missing something?

Is there downloadable extra info or some such?
