Mesa Progress for RazPi 4?

I'm still running on one of your last slackware builds (slarm64-current-aarch64-xfce-raspberry_pi_4-6.5.2-build-20230910.img.zst) and it's doing well, except the graphics suck. Glibc is 2.38.
Current in Slackware is on glibc-2.40, so I gather I'd have to install crux and learn it's eccentricities, that I can't just update mesa alone. Are the advances on Graphics worth the hassle? Or is the Pi 4 not really supported on the new driver?
