Verizon’s mobile services are down across the country

During the incident we received reports from Birmingham, Foley, Montgomery, Benton, Brookland, Des Arc, Fayetteville, Hot Springs Village, Washington, Dover, Apopka, Brandon, Cape Coral, Clermont, Crestview, Fort Pierce, Hollywood, Miami, Naples, Ocala and 652 other cities," according to a website tracking the outage.
There are also more than 100,000 user reports of problems on Downdetector. Downdetector's outage map shows hotspots in many places, including New York and Atlanta. Based on that map, it appears as though the outages are more prevalent on the East Coast.
