LinkedIn Is Introducing Hiring Assistant – An AI-Powered Tool to Simplify Recruitment
- LinkedIn has launched a new AI recruitment tool called Hiring Assistant that will automate tasks like creating job descriptions and going through candidate profiles.
- More features such as messaging and scheduling interviews will also be added.
- For now, the tool is only available to selected large companies. But in the coming months, it will be made available to everyone.
LinkedIn has introduced a new AI-powered Hiring Assistant that will help with recruitment tasks like creating job descriptions, sifting through applications, and engaging with potential good fits.
Hiring Assistant is designed to take on recruiters' most repetitive tasks so that they have more time to focus on productive areas of their work." -Hari Srinivasan, LinkedIn Vice President of Product
The tool, which the company has described as its first-ever AI agent, is currently available to a limited number of users only. This includes big organizations such as AMD, Canva, Zurich Insurance, and others. But soon it will be made publicly available in the coming months.
How Does It Work?Hiring Assistant comes with a few basic features right now.
- If you upload the list of qualifications/skills you are looking for in a candidate along with a few samples of job postings that you liked, the tool will churn out the perfect job posting for your company.
- Then, once the applications start coming in, the tool can go through them and recommend the best candidate for the job.
- It'll use AI to find the best match based on skills and not on where they went to school or where they will. This will save so much time and save you the hassle of going through each application manually.
Although the tool is ultimately trained on LinkedIn's own database, which consists of 1 billion users, 68 million companies, and 41,000 skills, the tool also integrates with third-party application tracking systems.
The best part is that the tool is super easy to use and lets the recruiter be in complete control. You can choose how or when to use it while it keeps making your life easier by sharing insights and suggestions that can shape your recruitment strategies for the better. You can also customize it in case you have some very specific needs.
It also promised that Hiring Assistants will soon get more features such as messaging, answering follow-up questions of candidates, scheduling interviews, and so on.LinkedIn has always been at the forefront of AI innovation. When AI had just started gaining momentum in commercial spaces, it had integrated the technology into its algorithm to make better recommendations.
Its AI features have also enabled growth in its Premium subscriptions (since some AI features are only available to paid users).
Still, this is a huge milestone in its AI journey as it is the first time it has created a dedicated AI tool to meet the demands of its biggest user group i.e. recruiters.
