Giants to meet with free agent QB Jameis Winston on Tuesday: report

While the Giants wait on an Aaron Rodgers decision, the team continues to do their homework on other potential quarterback options.

Free agent Jameis Winston is scheduled to visit the Giants on Tuesday, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Winston, 31, started seven games for the Cleveland Browns last season, completing 61.1 percent of his passes for 2,121 yards, 13 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions.

The first overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, Winston began his NFL career with five inconsistent seasons in Tampa Bay before a four-year stint in New Orleans as a backup.

While he has three seasons with at least 4,000 passing yards, including 5,109 yards with the Buccaneers in 2019, turnovers have always been his downfall. In 105 career games, Winston has a touchdown-to-interception ratio of 154 to 111, and he's won just 36 of his 87 career starts.

The Giants reportedly have a standing offer" to Rodgers, who is said to be waiting on a response from the Minnesota Vikings before making a decision on his next team, with the Giants and Steelers in the mix.

In the meantime, the Giants have met with Joe Flacco and Russell Wilson, and now have a meeting with Winston on the books.
