Jets Injury Updates: QB Tyrod Taylor expected to miss remainder of preseason, Allen Lazard out 'about two weeks'

Jetshead coach Aaron Glenn provided a pair of injury updates following Tuesday's joint practice against the Giants, headlined by a note regarding the quarterback position.
Per Glenn, backup quarterbackTyrod Taylorunderwent a procedure on his knee that is expected to keep the veteran signal-caller out of action through the remainder of the preseason.
He's still going through his protocols as far as his rehab. We'll see exactly where he is in the next couple of weeks," Glenn said. I don't think he'll be playing in the preseason, but hopefully he'll be ready for Week 1."
The 36-year-old Taylor, who hasn't practiced since last Tuesday, appeared in two games for the Jets last season, completing 17-of-22 passes for 119 yards and three touchdowns without throwing an interception.
Meanwhile, fellow veteran Allen Lazard is dealing with a shoulder injury that should keep him out for about two weeks," according to Glenn.
Lazard, 29, has played two uninspiring seasons for the Jets, totaling 841 receiving yards and seven touchdowns in 26 games.
