What to Expect From Made by Google 2025

Made by Google 2025 kicks off on Wednesday, Aug. 20, which means we're just hours away from seeing all the new hardware Google has in the works. The company has confirmed a few details here and there, but beyond some product renders, Google is waiting to share specifics until its reps are on stage.
Still, there are plenty of leaks and rumors out there to sift through-so many, in fact, that I likely have a good idea what Google is about to announce. Anything is possible, but Google willdefinitely announce the new Pixel 10 line, and may announce both the Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a.
Pixel 10Google hasn't exactly kept the Pixel 10 line a secret. In fact, the company has already revealed each new device ahead of time. If you go to Made by Google's official YouTube page, you can see sneak peaks of the Pixel 10 as well as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold.
Let's take a look at that Pixel 10. The overall design is quite unchanged from the Pixel 9, save for the base model Pixel 10, which seems poised to adopt the three-camera system of the Pro phones. Rumors suggest the phone will have a new 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera, in addition to the 48-megapixel wide-angle and 13-megapixel ultrawide. The Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL will likely keep their upgraded camera hardware, including a 50-megapixel wide-angle, 48-megapixel ultrawide, and 48-megapixel telephoto. As with most years, you need to go Pro to get the best cameras, but at least base model users will have a third camera this go around.
Powering these phones is likely Google's next-generation Tensor chip, G5. (The Pixel 9 line uses the Tensor G4, so the naming scheme would only make sense.) While leaked benchmarks suggest the Tensor G5 may be underpowered when compared to the Galaxy S25's Snapdragon 8 Elite, we won't know how the chip really feels to use until reviewers get Pixel 10s in their hand. Google optimizes the chip for the Pixel experience, so raw benchmark stats aren't enough to judge the chip on.
As for colors, rumors suggest Pixel 10 will come in four options: obsidian (black), indigo (purple), frost (light blue), and lemonade (yellow). The 10 Pro might come in obsidian (black), porcelain (white), moonstone (gray), and jade (green).
It's possible the Pixel 10 will support Qi2 wireless charging, which would put it in line with Apple's iPhone. If true, your Pixel 10 could take advantage of magnetic wireless charging with impressive speeds.
Pixel 10 Pro FoldBased on Google's Pixel 10 Pro Fold preview, the foldable appears to look about the same as last year. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, I suppose.
But as with other Pixel devices, the changes are mostly on the inside. The 10 Pro Fold is also getting the G5 Tensor chip, as well as a three camera system: a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 10.5-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens with 5x zoom. The selfie cameras might be two 10-megapixel cameras: one on the front screen, and one on the inner display.
Unlike the other phones, however, this Fold may only come in two colors: moonstone and jade.
Pixel Watch 4Google might also be dropping a new Pixel Watch tomorrow. The fourth generation watch probably won't look much different than the Pixel Watch 3, as you should still have the choice between 41mm and 45mm watches, as well as the iconic circular design. However, like the other Pixel devices, the hardware is reportedly getting a boost.
Pixel Watch 4 will likely run the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip with a M55 co-processor. It might have a brighter AMOLED display as well, with up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The battery may increase 7% to 327 mAh on the 41mm, and 9% on the 459 mAh, which would give each watch a small runtime boost-assuming the new chip doesn't draw too much extra power, that is.
Google might also roll out some new features, as well. The Pixel Watch 4 might be able to "continuously" track your blood oxygen throughout the day, rather than check it only at night. The company might expand Notification Cooldown to Wear OS 6, so all compatible Pixel Watches can limit notifications for a specific time period.
Pixel Buds 2aPixel Buds 2a are Google's rumored upgrade to the Pixel Buds A-Series, meant to be the company's "affordable" earbud line. We might see these buds tomorrow, and, if so, a new design for the charging case. Now, the inside of the case should match the color of the buds, which isn't necessarily a reason to buy new earbuds, but it is a nice design.
Other than that, the leaks around these buds have been pretty light. Expect longer battery life and some improved sound quality, but beyond that, we'd only be guessing.
Google may have some other news up its sleeve that it's successfully hidden from leakers. We'll just have to wait until the actual event to see what's what.
