My favorite kind of game is couch co-op-there's nothing like teaming up with a real-life friend-but the genre just isn't that populated these days. There are a few great couch co-op games, though, like It Takes 2, a whirlwind platformer, where you and Player 2 are a couple turned into dolls. You have to work together on every level-no single player allowed-to save your relationship. If you're into PC gaming, I have some nice deals to wrap your mouse and keyboard around, including a ridiculous 95% off on Battlefield 2042 and more savings than is possible to quantify in 2025's Humble Bundle.

Humble Bundle

Since 2010, the Humble Bundle has sold a metric crap-ton of indie and mainstream games for ridiculously low prices every summer; plus, the proceeds go to charities like Action Against Hunger and the Electronic Frontier Foundation. So it's a total win-win.

You should check out the entire Humble Bundle because there are way too many great bargains to list, but here's a few that jumped out at me:

• Bioshock: The Collection: This collection contains remastered versions of all three Bioshock games and all the single-player DLC too. This is a preposterous bargain: $11.99 for two of the best games ever made (Bioshock and Bioshock: Infinite) and one pretty good game (Bioshock 2) for $11.99.

• Jackbox Party Pack 3: If you want social/party games, look no further. There are 20 Jackbox games on sale through the Humble Bundle, but Party Pack 3 is the best one because it contains both the Tee K.O. and Trivia Murder Party mini-games.

• The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt-Complete Edition: The Witcher 3 may be the single best video game ever made, and the complete edition contains the original game and all additional content, including the Hearts of Stone and Blood & Wine expansions, which offer 50 hours of additional gameplay. "This must cost eleventy-billion dollars!" you might be saying. Well how about $9.99? Less than the price of a cheeseburger!

• Amnesia: The Dark Descent: If you like to be terrified by video games, you need to play Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Credited with reinventing survival horror when it dropped in 2010, critics praised its atmosphere and sound design, while players still rave about its sheer pants-wetting scariness. Every second is pure nightmare fuel-and for $19.99, it's one of the cheapest ways to absolutely ruin your evening in the best way possible.

Battlefield 2042

This is one of those sale-prices that are so low it might as well be "free." The PC version of EA's Battlefield 2042 is currently on sale on Steam for $2.99, a full 95% off the list price of $59.99. You can also pick up the "Elite" edition for $13.49, which is 85% off the list price. While 2042 hasn't gotten the best reviews, it has its hardcore fans, and it costs less than a cup of coffee to find out if you're among them.

Forza franchise sale

Racing series Forza has been around since Forza Motorsport was released in 2005 for the original Xbox. That's 20 years of iteration and improvement on the racing game genre. If you want to get into it for half price, Steam is offering a 50% off deal on a ton of Forza games, including 2023's Forza Motorsports, Forza Horizon 5, and Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels.

Best Labor Day deals for Switch 2 gamers

Bargains on games for the Switch 2 are rare, and price-chops on the console itself are even harder to find, but there are a few deals out there for Labor Day.
