I use my phone near-constantly and, since my iPhone 14 is a little older now, its battery really cannot sustain what I put it through on a daily basis. Because I'm always running around, I need a charger on me at all times. The one I had right before the Rorry was bigger and bulkier, and while it did have attached lightning and USB-C cables so I didn't have to pack those separately, it was lacking a lot of what makes this one great.

It also lasts longer on a single charge and even has a keychain on it to make toting it around as easy as possible. What I love most, though, is how fast it charges my devices. I've been using portable chargers for years and have come to regard them less as chargers and more as stabilizers, so to speak. When I plugged my phone into one in the past, I didn't expect it to drastically raise the charging percentage so much as I expected it to keep the charging percentage the same. The Rorry, on the other hand, quickly charges my iPhone or Apple Watch, pushing the charging percentage up quickly.
Yes, I said Apple Watch: There's a flat, magnetic panel on the front of the charger that charges my smartwatch. Obsessed as I am with constantly tracking my steps and health data, I get anxious if my Apple Watch is anything less than half-charged, so this has saved me so many times. It also advertises that with its 5,000 mAh, it has enough power to fully charge an iPhone 15 once or an Apple Watch 10 times. I can confirm I charge my watch on here for four or five days in a row before needing to recharge the charger itself.
I can only compare it to the ones I've had in the past, which I tended to purchase without checking tech specs first. For comparison's sake, I stacked it up against the listed details of another 5,000-mAh charger in the same price range, the Mekiki version, which retails for around $23. Right away, I see the first issue with the Mekiki: The charging cables aren't attached here the way they are on my Rorry. The Mekiki doesn't offer that because it's completely wireless. Wireless chargers are cool and all, but good luck tossing your phone in your bag to charge while you're on the go.
The Mekiki does claim to have faster charging speeds if you use a wire, but that's only if you have a wire on hand to access them. Where it does shine is that it's much smaller than the Rorry. The Rorry is 4.33 x 2.83 x 0.83 inches while the Mekiki is just 3.14 x 2.75 x 0.5 inches.
To me, that's not a major upgrade. My Rorry is smaller than my phone, about the size of a credit card, and its built-in cables, keychain, and cute design make it ideal. I've actually used all three attachments-USB-C, lightning, and Apple Watch platform-at once and found that it still charged everything pretty quickly. That's worth more than $26, but you don't have to pay more than $26.
