Multiple media reports indicate that pop star Taylor Swift was in discussion with the NFL to be the halftime performer at Super Bowl LX, but has since walked from those talks, via Sports Business Journal. Swift reportedly passed on the offer after the league refused to meet her demands.

British singer Adele, who was reportedly approached about the halftime show after turning it down years ago, is reportedly being considered as a headliner.

The NFL seemed to tease a replacement, posting on social media that there would be a "big announcement" during halftime of Sunday Night Football.

Swift has been dating Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce for two years, with the two announcing their engagement last month. During their relationship, Swift has attended two Super Bowls to support Kelce - one that the Chiefs won, and one that they lost.

Swift announced her newest album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on Kelce's "New Heights" podcast in August. The album is set to come out Friday.

Outside of the Super Bowls, Swift has attended multiple Chiefs games in the years since she began dating Kelce, initially to great fanfare. The singer has since quietly attended Chiefs games recently, without being photographed or filmed entering Arrowhead Stadium. Swift was in attendance Sunday, per People Magazine, as the Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens in a blowout win.

Earlier in September, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said a Swift Super Bowl halftime show was "a maybe."

"We would always love to have Taylor play. She is a special, special talent, and obviously she would be welcome at any time," Goodell said on the "TODAY Show."

The NFL announced Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for Super Bowl LIX on Sept. 8 last year. Swift passing on the job seemingly delayed the league's timeline, though that announcement is imminent.
