Fantasy Football Week 5 Waiver Wire: Kickers to consider streaming
We did alright streaming kickers last week with a few double-digit point totals from Packers K Brandon McManus (11 points) and Colts K Spencer Shrader (10). Going into Week 5, there are four teams on bye: the Packers, Falcons, Bears and Steelers. This will thin out the pool of kickers available to stream with managers searching for a replacement. Below we'll look at some good kicker streaming candidates based on Justin Boone's waiver wire article for Week 5.
Fantasy Football Kicker Waiver Wire StreamersPlayer | Opponent | Roster % |
Joshua Karty | vs. SF | 7% |
Spencer Shrader | vs. LV | 41% |
Cam Little | vs. KC | 36% |
Matt Gay | vs. LAC | 17% |
Chad Ryland | vs. TEN | 9% |
Jason Myers | vs. TB | 4% |
Joshua Karty, LAR vs. SF: Karty has scored 27 fantasy points over the past two weeks, including a season-high 17 in Week 3 vs. the Eagles. The Rams take on a banged-up 49ers team on Thursday night in Week 5.
Spencer Shrader, IND vs. LV: This is a bit perplexing as Shrader enters MNF in Week 4 as the top-scoring kicker in fantasy with 55 points. He's reached double-digit points in every week this season. Plus, this is a very good spot for the Colts offense going up against the Raiders, who are very turnover prone. Shrader should be rostered and started in all leagues at this point.
Cam Little, JAX vs. KC: This is a good game script for Little. The Jaguars face a tough-ish Chiefs defense and could have more stalled drives. Jacksonville could also be trailing and forced to throw on MNF.
Matt Gay, WAS vs. LAC: The Chargers are allowing the seventh-most fantasy points to opposing kickers this season. The Commanders should get QB Jayden Daniels back from injury, which is a boost for the offense and potential trips to the red zone.
Chad Ryland, ARI vs. TEN: The Titans are bad and that should allow the Cardinals to get into the red zone plenty. Arizona is a 9.5-point favorite as of Monday and Ryland has double-digit fantasy points in three of four games this season.
Jason Myers, SEA vs. TB: Myers ranks third among kickers in fantasy points entering MNF and has posted big outings (17 points, 14 points) in the past two weeks. He's a great add who is widely available.
