Days after missing a pair of extra points in the Giants' one-point loss to the Denver Broncos, New York released kicker Jude McAtamney.

The move could see the Giants activate veteran Graham Gano, who is close to fully recovered from a groin injury and eligible to come off IR after he sustained the injury during pregame warmups ahead of the Week 3 game against Kansas City, or Younghoe Koo, who was added to the practice squad in late September after Gano's injury.

Gano, who has struggled to stay healthy the last three years (appearing in just 21 games in that span), has made all six of his field goal attempts and is 4-for-4 on PATs. Since he joined the Giants for the 2020 campaign, the now 38-year-old has made 87.8 percent (115-for-131) field goals and 96 percent (97-for-101) of extra points.

Koo began his career with the Chargers in 2017 before he finally stuck around the NFL, starting in 2019 with the Falcons. He remained with Atlanta through the first week of the 2025 season before he was cut loose after his play declined. For his career, the 31-year-old has made 85.8 percent (181-for-211) of field goal attempts and 96.2 percent (175-for-182) of extra points. However, since the start of the 2025 season, he has made just 27 of 37 kicks (73 percent), but has not missed a PAT in 28 tries.

McAtamney was 2-for-2 on field goals (both under 40 yards) and 7-for-8 on extra points entering Sunday's game in the thin air of Denver. And while he made two of his four attempts, the two misses proved too costly.

After missing a PAT in the second quarter wide left, his fourth quarter attempt that would have put New York up by three with 37 seconds to play sailed wide right. That left the door open for Bo Nix to move the Broncos offense into field goal range, setting up Wil Lutz's walk-off kick from 39 yards out.

Honestly, when it came off my foot, I thought it was good," McAtamney said after the game Sunday of the final miss. I went for it and, when I looked up, it was wide right. Obviously, I was as shocked as everyone else was. I stuck to my process, went for a kick in the target, and just pushed it right. That's on me.

First one is on me. Gotta make the kicks. I'm not going to shy away from that. I take full responsibility. I'm a professional kicker. Gotta be able to make those. It's as simple as that."

After the game, head coach Brian Daboll pointed to the "snap operation" for the first miss, but the kicker on the second.

In other moves, the Giants announced the signing of cornerback Korie Black off the Jets' practice squad. Black was drafted by Big Blue in the seventh round this past spring, but was one of the team's final roster cuts. He had been with Gang Green's practice squad since August.

Defensive lineman Elijah Garcia was added to the practice squad, and linebacker Jonas Griffith was released from the PS in a corresponding move.
