Start-sit decisions can be vexing for even the best of fantasy managers, especially as we navigate the bye-week season. Here's our Week 11 trafficreport to help you make some of those calls this week.
Green LightWR Jaylen Waddle vs. Commanders: Washington's pass defense has fallen apart and Waddle enters the game in top form; he's the WR6 over the past six weeks. Miami's usage tree is one of the narrowest in the NFL; it's generally the Waddle and De'Von Achane show.
RB Rico Dowdle at Falcons: Atlanta is second in pass defense DVOA but 27th against the run. We call that a funnel defense, kids. Dowdle looks primed to go off again.
WR Rome Odunze at Vikings: Minnesota has struggled to mark No. 1 receivers all year, and although Odunze didn't have a ton of yardage in the first meeting, he collected six catches and a touchdown. Odunze is at least a high-end WR2 this week.
RB RJ Harvey vs. Chiefs: J.K. Dobbins (foot) will likely miss multiple weeks, and although Sean Payton prefers a backfield rotation, Harvey has played well enough to get the first opportunity.
WR Jameson Williams at Eagles: Philadelphia's defense is always a difficult assignment, but the Lions seemed to unlock Williams last week - helped by Dan Campbell taking over the play sheet. And Williams might draw more targets if TE Sam LaPorta (back) is unable to play.
Yellow LightWR Zay Flowers at Browns: He's probably too good to sit in most leagues, but Cleveland has a top-five defense and we can't ignore that Flowers hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 1. I still think Flowers can be a right answer for fantasy, but he might not pay off until the Jets and Bengals come calling.
TE Pat Freiermuth vs. Bengals: It would be a stretch to put Freiermuth in the green section, as he's been quiet most of the year. But the Bengals are horrendous when it comes to seam coverage, and Freiermuth got them for a 5-111-2 game a month ago.
WR Wan'Dale Robinson vs. Packers: Darius Slayton is a better stylistic fit for temporary QB starter Jameis Winston, but Slayton is also questionable with a hamstring injury. By necessity, Robinson could be looking at a double-digit target week.
QB Marcus Mariota at Dolphins: Injuries have derailed the Washington offense we dreamt about, but Mariota has sleeper value against a Miami defense that stuffs the run regularly but struggles against the pass. Mariota also has 20-40 yards of rushing equity in his back pocket.
Red LightQB Jordan Love at Giants: The Packers have sputtered since losing Tucker Kraft, and cluster injuries at wide receiver have also hurt. Green Bay will likely look for a ground-and-pound plan at New York, looking to keep Love away from a strong opposing pass rush.
WR Courtland Sutton vs. Chiefs: Troy Franklin's emergence has come at Sutton's expense, and Kansas City has allowed the third-fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.Bo Nix's inconsistent play doesn't help, either.
RB Jordan Mason vs. Bears: Normally we'd be looking to dial up Mason against a leaky Chicago run defense, but Aaron Jones Sr. had a massive snap edge in the Week 10 loss against Baltimore. Mason is merely a contingency stash at the moment.
TE Cade Otton at Bills: He's been a steady target as Tampa Bay navigates several WR injuries, but Otton still doesn't have a touchdown, and the Buffalo defense has erased tight ends all season. Baker Mayfield is also in a tough spot here.
