Vatican returns Indigenous cultural items to Canada's Catholic bishops on a 'historic day'

Acentury-old Inuvialuit kayak once used for beluga and whale hunts, and61 other cultural objectsfromFirst Nations, Metis and Inuitcommunities have long been held in Vatican Museumsvaults. But the items will be returnedto Canada on Dec. 6 after Pope Leo on Saturday gifted them to a delegation of Catholic bishops.
