Giants' Brian Burns earns second-team All-Pro honors for 2025 season
With the 2025 NFL regular season done and the playoffs starting on Saturday, the league has begun to announce some of its annual honors.
Giantsedge rusher Brian Burns was named to the 2025 NFL All-Pro second-team after finishing second in the league with a career-high 16.5 sacks.
The 27-year-old also recorded a career-high 22 tackles for loss, good for third in the NFL behind only the Cleveland Browns' Myles Garrett (33 TFL) and Las Vegas Raiders' Maxx Crosby (28 TFL).
Garrett, who set an NFL record for sacks in a season with 23, was named first-team All-Pro for edge rushers along with the Green Bay Packers' Micah Parsons and the Houston Texans' Will Anderson.
Burns was joined by Houston's Danielle Hunter and the Detroit Lions' Aidan Hutchinson on the second team.
Overall, Burns recorded 67 combined tackles and had 31 QB hits this season. He was also named as a starter for the 2026 Pro Bowl, his third nomination over seven seasons in the NFL and first with the Giants.
New York acquired Burns from the Carolina Panthers in March of 2024 in exchange for a second-round and fifth-round pick. GM Joe Schoen immediately inked the star to a five-year deal worth up to $150 million with $87.5 million guaranteed.
In his first season with New York, Burns recorded 8.5 sacks with 71 total tackles, including 17 tackles for loss. His play greatly improved in 2025, showing why he was deserving of the large contract and setting Big Blue up to keep improving in 2026.
