Welcome to BTSC's Friday night open thread:
- The bombshell news this week, of course, was head coach Mike Tomlin stepping down from his position with the Steelers. I would say I was surprised but not blindsided given the unusual amount of chatter about it happening over the back half of the season. How surprised were you?
- As it stands today, who do you think will be the Steelers' next head coach? Who do you want it to be?
- There has been a lot of talk about going after an offensively- or defensively-minded coach. Do you have a preference or any thoughts on the matter?
- Outside of winning Super Bowl XLIII, because that might be a little too obvious, what is your favorite Mike Tomlin moment/memory/quote?
- Danny Smith interviewed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today for their special teams coordinator position amid reports the team won't be retaining any assistants unless the new head coach specifically wants them back. If you could pick one current Steelers assistant coach to stay in Pittsburgh, who would it be?
