As the Giants continue their search for their next OC, they are reportedly among teams who have reached out to the Broncos for permission to interview their passing game coordinator and QB coach Davis Webb.

The Eagles and Ravens have also requested permission from Denver.

It certainly doesn't come as a surprise that Big Blue and others are expressing interest in Webb, as he is viewed by many as one of the up-and-coming young minds in the game.

The 31-year-old has spent the past two seasons in the Broncos' staff.

Webb, of course, was a Giants draft pick and made his only career start with the organization.

Bringing him to work with young QB Jaxson Dart would certainly be an intriguing pairing on John Harbaugh's staff.

John Harbaugh has not yet named his next offensive coordinator, and it's likely because he's waiting for one of his former Ravens assistants to make a big decision.

According to SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes, the Giants remain interested in Todd Monken for the role, and if the veteran coordinator isn't offered the Browns' head coaching job soon, he's expected to accept the position on Harbaugh's new staff.

Monken, 59, spent the last three seasons as the Ravens' offensive coordinator.

During his tenure, their unit ranked top-four in average points twice and top-six in average yards twice. His best campaign was his first, as Baltimore finished an AFC-best 13-4 with Lamar Jackson named league MVP.

Denver Broncos defensive pass game coordinator and assistant head coach Jim Leonhard, former Tennessee Titans defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson and Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver are in the mix for the Giants' defensive coordinator vacancy, according to a report by Ian O'Connor of The Athletic.

"On the Giants DC front, I'm hearing for the time being that it could be Jim Leonhard, Dennard Wilson and Anthony Weaver in that order," O'Connor wrote.

Of the three, Leonhard reportedly had mutual interest with the Packers for their defensive coordinator opening after Jeff Hafley left Green Bay to become the Miami Dolphins' new coach. However, the Packers are hiring former Arizona Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon as their new defensive coordinator, according to a report by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Leonhard, 43, played for Harbaugh as a safety with the Baltimore Ravens in 2008. Leonhard's career on the sidelines includes college football coaching stints with the Wisconsin Badgers, (2016-22), his alma mater, and the Illinois Fighting Illini (2023). He joined the Broncos in 2024 as their defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator.

Harbaugh will be retaining two coaches from Big Blue for his staff

Tim Kelly and Charlie Bullen will stick around next season, according to Paul Schwartz of the NY Post.

Kelly served as New York's TE coach before being bumped to interim OC when Mike Kafka took over for Brian Daboll.

Bullen was the interim DC after Shane Bowen was fired.

The remainder of the staff is free to look for opportunities elsewhere.

Perhaps the most shocking departure is offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo, who did tremendous work turning around the lackluster group during his two years at the helm.

Harbaugh is restructuring the organization.

And while the majority of the Giants' defensive coaches are not returning, there's a possibility that interim defensive coordinator Charlie Bullen remains.

SNY's Connor Hughes reportsthat Harbaugh is interested in having Bullen return on the new DC's staff. Bullen is open to the opportunity as well, although several teams are also inquiring about his availability.

After DC Shane Bowne was fired, Bullen served as the interim DC and has big supporters in Brian Burns and Abdul Carter, among others, per Hughes.

With Harbaugh set to be introduced this afternoon, his offensive and defensive coordinator roles are starting to take shape.

the Giants are "confident" that things will work out with Todd Monken as their offensive coordinator, though the team is still going through their process of finding the right candidate, according to Hughes.

Monken, 59, was Harbaugh's OC with the Ravens for the past three seasons, and has a good amount of experience at both the pro and college level. Monken was signed to a contract extension following the 2024 season, but after an up-and-down 2025 campaign, Ravens ownership reportedly wanted Harbaugh to move on from Monken, which played a big role in Harbaugh and Baltimore parting ways.

Hughes also adds that Anthony Weaver is "believed to be the favorite at the moment" for defensive coordinator.

Weaver was a member of Harbaugh's staff in Baltimore from 2021-23 before landing the Dolphins' DC job in 2024.

Jan. 19, 6:35 p.m.

The Giants have requested to interview Minnesota Vikings passing game coordinator and defensive backs coach Daronte Jones for their defensive coordinator job, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones, 47, has been in his current role since 2023. He first started his NFL coaching career in 2016 with Miami as an assistant DBs coach for two seasons before moving to Cincinnati to be the cornerbacks coach for two seasons. He first came to Minnesota in 2020, before having a one-year stint as the DC at LSU, before returning to the Vikings in 2022.

Jones already interviewed with the Jets and Cowboys for their DC positions.

Jan. 15, 4:09 p.m.

While Harbaugh's hiring has not yet been made official, the new head coach has already been working to fill out his coaching staff.

Former Miami Dolphins defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver is among the candidates for the same position with the Giants, according to Hughes.

Weaver, 45, has been coaching in the NFL since 2012 and got his first defensive coordinator job with the Houston Texans in 2020. Weaver was then a member of Harbaugh's staff in Baltimore from 2021-23 before landing the Dolphins' DC job in 2024.

Additionally, Hughes reports that Harbaugh sought out and contacted members ofDaboll's staff to "pick their brains" about the state of the roster.

Some of the coaches had never previously spoken to Harbaugh, but they all talked for around 30 minutes so Harbaugh could learn the "ins and outs" of the roster.
