The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to name Mike McCarthy as their next head coach, according to a report by ESPN's Adam Schefter.
McCarthy, who spent the past five seasons in charge of the Dallas Cowboys, became available after negotiations on a contract extension stalled following the 2024 season. Dallas ultimately chose a different path, promoting offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer and closing the door on McCarthy's tenure.
