The 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class has yet to be announced but we know one name which will not be in the group enshrined this year.

Six-time Super Bowl champion coach Bill Belichick will not hear his name called in this year's class. The man who spent nearly 30 years as a head coach in the NFL did not receive the minimum 40 of 50 votes required to make the Hall of Fame.

Many have sounded off in disbelief that Belichick was omitted from this year's class in his first year of eligibility. Count a fellow Hall of Fame coach among them.

Hall of Famer Jimmy Johnson was the latest to weigh in today on Belichick's snub.

"This is just WRONG ..#2 winning ALL TIME...more Super Bowls than anyone unimaginable # of division championships...lot of small jealous voters," Johnson wrote in the first of multiple posts to X.

Unlike players, the Hall of Fame reduced the waiting period for coaches from five years to one. Belichick was eligible before his longtime New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, who is widely expected to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Johnson shot down Brady being a potential reason for Belichick not making it.

"As a HOF coach I think Bill Belichick is the greatest of all time...yes he had a great QB but we all did..he won AFTER THE salary cap and free agency plus I Know how much he LOVES THE NFL and the game..I'm pissed [sic]," Johnson wrote.
