Watch live: NFL commissioner Roger Goodell speaks before Super Bowl 60
There's still just under one week left before Super Bowl 60 kicks off, which leaves plenty of room for extra news and quotes before the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots kick off.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is scheduled to speak to members of the media on Monday, Feb. 2 for his annual state of the league address on Super Bowl opening night. During last year's media availability, Goodell fielded questions on a possible 18-week season, whether the Kansas City Chiefs receive preferential treatment from NFL referees and whether Tom Brady should be allowed to be an NFL minority owner and broadcaster.
This year, Goodell will be asked other relevant questions about the current state of the league. Some may be follow-ups to last year's questions and answers, but there are other pressing matters as well.

The further commitment to international growth of the sport is a hot topic with the NFL's announcement it will play more games in Madrid as well as its first in France next year. Goodell may also face questions about the continued lack of minority candidate hires for head coaching roles after zero of the 10 head coach openings this offseason ended with a non-white coach in the role.
Finally, the topic of NFL owners' (and players') involvement with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein may be broached. The names of both New York Giants co-owner Steve Tisch and Washington Commanders principal owner Josh Harris appeared in the United States Department of Justice's recent release of more documents related to Epstein, which also included Giants quarterback Russell Wilson's name.
Tune into Goodell's annual pre-Super Bowl press conference at 6 p.m. ET.
