A Valentine's Day Super Bowl in 2027 comes with another calendar perk
Next year's Super Bowl festivities might need some extra calendar planning, no matter which teams are headed to the big NFL championship game.
With Super Bowl LX complete following the Seattle Seahawks' dominant 29-13 win over the New England Patriots, football fans now look to next year's game excitedly. The Super Bowl is set to fall around Valentine's Day and Presidents Day next year.
While Valentine's Day might hinder some Super Bowl plans, Presidents Day could offer some U.S. workers a day off as a chance to recover from parties and fun.
Here's what to know about the upcoming, holiday-filled Super Bowl 2027 weekend.

When is Super Bowl Sunday 2027?Super Bowl LXI, or Super Bowl 61, is set to be played on Valentine's Day next year, taking place on Sunday, Feb. 14, 2027. The game has never fallen on Valentine's Day before, but has landed close to the love-filled holiday in the past, with the Los Angeles Rams facing off against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI on Feb. 13, 2022.
The 2027 Super Bowl will be played at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, California. Super Bowl 61 will be the second NFL championship game hosted at SoFi Stadium, with the first being Super Bowl 56 in 2022.
Presidents Day to follow Super Bowl SundayWorkers with federal holidays off could see some luck as the 2027 calendar year lines up with Super Bowl Sunday. The day after the big game, Monday, Feb. 15, 2027, is also Presidents Day.
Presidents Day is celebrated on the third Monday in February every year in the U.S. as a federal holiday, earning some people a day off from work. The holiday originally started as a way to celebrate President George Washington's birthday, but has since evolved to include all U.S. presidents.
Dozens of petitions to make the Monday after the Super Bowl a holiday have spread in the past without success. Companies have also reported being hit by what they call the "Super Bowl Flu," an uptick in workers calling in to take the Monday day off.
Next year, however, workplaces might get a break from the "Super Bowl Flu" as people who are off from work on federal holidays, like many federal, state, and government employees, will get a chance to relax after the game on that Monday, Presidents Day 2027.
