Anderson has been with the Steelers since 2024, where he has appeared in 13 games. Before that, he spent 2023 with the New England Patriots and three seasons with the Denver Broncos from 2020-22. He will turn 30 in March.

The Steelers got good play from Dylan Cook in the final six weeks of the season when Broderick Jones went down with a neck injury. The play of Cook likely played into Anderson's release, as the Steelers can feel a bit more comfortable with the younger depth.
