Kader Kohou's 2025 season was cut short before it began, as the cornerback tore his ACL during training camp and didn't play a snap for the Miami Dolphins last season. He is an unrestricted free agent this offseason - but apparently, he's finally healthy.

On Monday night, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reported that just seven months to the day from his surgery, Kohou has been cleared medically by Miami Dolphins team doctor, Dr. Gautam Yagnik. The timing of the 27 year-old's medical clearance is fortuitous for the player, as NFL free agency starts on Wednesday, March 11th, with the legal tampering period beginning in just one week - on Monday, March 9th.

Kohou - a native of Ivory Coast - was originally undrafted out of Texas A&M University-Commerce, but signed with Miami as a free agent following the 2022 NFL Draft.

During his four-year NFL career, Kohou has played in 47 games, starting 38 of them. He has totaled 180 combined tackles, 28 passes defensed, with three interceptions and two forced fumbles.

We will continue to keep our readers updated with all Miami Dolphins news as the free agency period is set to kick off in just one week, with the 2026 NFL Draft to follow in late April.
