Is Notre Dame’s Jeremiyah Love the best player in the NFL Draft?
The NFL Combine is done, and now we get more than a month and a half of speculation, mock drafts, and hot takes before we get to the first round of the NFL Draft on April 23rd. One player that is right in the thick of the conversation is one that also was a big winner at the combine - Notre Dame running back, Jeremiyah Love.
We all know the stigma surrounding the position of running back when it comes to the NFL Draft, but there have been a large number of exceptions over the last twenty years. Will Jeremiyah Love be one of those exceptions?
Yes - yes he is definitely going to be one of those exceptions. Before the combine, there were a number of people that stated Love was the best player in the draft, and he won't make it past the Kansas City Chiefs at #9. After the combine, the praise and expectations were cranked up another notch. But don't take my word for it - here are some of the numerous examples of the Jeremiyah Love Hype Train taking off from the station.
"I don't think Jeremiyah Love gets out of the top five, and it won't shock me if he's the third pick in this draft."

Jeremiyah Love is the best player in the 2026 draft. He was the best player in college football last year, & I got to witness it person every single week in 2024. He has it all... burst, power, long speed, toughness, & agility.

Basically, Love's draft ceiling is at #3 with the Arizona Cardinals and the floor is probably #8 with the New Orleans Saints - sorry KC, but you don't exist here anymore.
There are two entities that don't care who the best player is - and they both involve college football. Obviously I'm talking about the Heisman Trophy and the NFL Draft. Jeremiyah Love definitely fits into both categories. Love IS the best player in the draft this year, and unless there's some kind of big time trade, we should expect him with the Arizona Cardinals, Tennessee Titans, or New York Giants.
Love is considered to be one of the best running backs to come out in the last decade. Whichever team drafts him significantly makes their offense BETTER than it was last season... because he's the best player in the draft.
