The Maxx Crosby to Dallas' hype seemed to take a big blow yesterday when Trey Wingo reported that the Cowboys were unwilling to meet the Las Vegas Raiders asking price for Crosby.

Things are moving fast re Maxx Crosby. Last night Dallas thought they were close to a deal but since then other teams have raised the ante and potentially are offering the Raiders 2 1st round picks Expected Dallas to now shift their focus to Trey Hendrickson

In most cases, Cowboys fans seemed to be on board with shifting their focus to free agency if it meant giving the Raiders both the 12th and 20th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Trey Hendrickson has been reported as a possible move. But this morning, Dianna Russini of The Athletic poured more gas on the Crosby to Dallas fire.

Maxx Crosby is drawing serious interest around the league. The Dallas Cowboys are closely monitoring the situation and remain very interested, while the Baltimore Ravens are also a team to watch. GMs believe the Las Vegas Raiders are willing to work on a deal. pic.twitter.com/4csP6MII1e

With just four days to go before free agency opens, the Cowboys are desperately trying to add to the league's worst defense in 2025, and Crosby would be a big splash. According to Russini, the Cowboys are closely monitoring the Crosby situation and still remain heavily interested in the 29-year-old pass rusher.

At the end of the day, this all seems to come down to compensation. Dallas is more likely willing to give up one of their two first-round picks in this year's draft, while the Raiders are wanting two-first round picks, plus a high-level player according to reports.

If the Raiders will budge on their asking price, it sounds like the Cowboys will be at the top of the list trying to acquire Crosby.
