Former TCU LB Garret Wallow signs 1-year deal with San Francisco 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly bringing back former TCU linebacker Garret Wallow on a one-year deal. Wallow, who started his professional career with the Houston Texans, started two playoff games for the 49ers in 2025-26. A fifth-round pick by the Texans in 2021, Wallow spent two years in Houston before signing with the Tennessee Titans for the 2023 season. Wallow spent the 2025 season with the Denver Broncos and the 49ers.

Over four seasons in the NFL, Wallow has amassed 51 tackles, one sack and one pass breakup over 44 games played. At TCU, Wallow was an All-Big 12 First Team selection in 2019 and 2020. The 6-foot-2, 230-pounder from New Orleans recorded 293 total tackles, 32.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, five pass breakups and three forced fumbles with one interception over four years with TCU. Wallow played in 48 games for the Horned Frogs.
