According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Chicago Bears are re-signing reserve cornerback Jaylon Jones to a one-year deal.

Before I get into this signing, how does Jaylon Jones get ESPN's number one NFL insider to break the news?

The 28-year-old Jones was originally an undrafted free agent by the Bears in 2022, and he's appeared in 56 games with six starts in his career. A year ago, he was signed by the Arizona Cardinals in free agency, but when Arizona waived him before the season, the Bears claimed him back.

In 2025, he played in 15 games with one start, recording 16 total tackles (12 on special teams) and a forced fumble.

Jones returns to a Chicago cornerback room with Jaylon Johnson, Kyler Gordon, Tyrique Stevenson, Josh Blackwell, Terell Smith, Zah Frazier, Dallis Flowers, Dontae Manning, and the newly signed Cam Lewis.

Do you think the Bears will add any other cornerbacks?
