Bills host free-agent offensive guard on Monday, March 23

The Buffalo Bills have been relatively quiet on the free-agency front in recent days, but Monday's NFL Transaction Wire included news on a recent visit to the club. Offensive guard Austin Corbett, a former second-round pick and a current free agent, visited with the Bills, according to a report by Sal Capaccio.

Corbett was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 33rd pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, but he failed to live up to expectations. The Nevada product was traded to the Los Angeles Rams during his second season in exchange for a fifth-round pick. Things improved for Corbett in Los Angeles, as he started 40 games over two-plus seasons with the Rams.

Corbett was able to parlay his play with Los Angeles into a lucrative contract with the Carolina Panthers, signing a three-year deal for $26.25 million in 2022. Injuries limited Corbett during the 2024 and 2025 seasons, where he appeared in nine total games. It was a bit of a bounce-back season for Corbett with the Panthers in 2025, where he started 11 games for Carolina.

With 78 starts across eight NFL seasons, Corbett could be seen as an interior depth piece on the offensive line, and he could compete with Alec Anderson at left guard. Capaccio noted that Corbett also brings experience at center, having played that position to begin the 2024 NFL season with the Panthers, before suffering a torn biceps in Week 5.
