After voluntarily ending his 19-season run leading the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Tomlin didn't hop aboard the coaching carousel this offseason. He's remained quiet, but a report surfaced Tuesday that might point toward his next move.

Tomlin, 54, has signed with sports media agency The Montag Group, according to Front Office Sports, which reported that agents Sandy Montag and Alex Flanagan will represent Tomlin in potential contract talks with networks and streamers.

Montag famously represented the late John Madden. He founded The Montag Group, which is now a division of The Team, formerly known as Wasserman Agency, per FOS.

The Montag Group works with several sports media icons, including Mike Tirico and Jim Nantz. Tomlin is reportedly expected to have multiple broadcast suitors.

There are some potential openings, too. Perhaps most notably, CBS' "The NFL Today" lost Matt Ryan to the Atlanta Falcons' president of football position.

Over his nearly two-decade tenure as the Steelers' head coach, Tomlin earned the reputation as a wordsmith. He imparted wisdom, both in the locker room and in front of the microphone. The one-time Super Bowl champion is also known for his consistency.

Although his postseason shortcomings ended up complicating his legacy in the Steel City, his regular-season success will be hard to replicate. He didn't have a single losing season in Pittsburgh. Along the way, his Steelers won eight AFC North titles.

His decision to give up the keys to the franchise stirred up emotions in the team facility. An NFL without Tomlin will take time to get used to.

But maybe that won't be necessary if he's on fans' screens every week.
