Howie Roseman never rests, and after a short lull in free agency moves, the Eagles re-signed Fred Johnson on Tuesday, and agreed to a one-year deal with WR Elijah Moore.

Heading into his sixth year in the league, Moore started his career with the Jets - a Joe Douglas draft pick- before spending time with the Browns and Bills. The Ole Miss alumnus is also good friends with Eagles WR1 A.J. Brown, with the latter being a mentor to the WR two years below him.

Moore has played in 70 games through his five seasons, including 42 starts, and has recorded 2,274 receiving yards and nine touchdowns off 209 receptions.

Notable about this move is what it means for A.J. Brown. The team bringing in one of Browns best friends could be used to placate the receiver and try to keep him happy in Philly instead of ultimately trading him at some point this offseason. Brown has often talked about how close he and Moore are, and credited his college teammate for helping him through his darkest moments.

Moore will join a WR room that includes Brown, DeVonta Smith, newly signed Hollywood Brown, Johnny Wilson, Quez Watkins, Darius Cooper, and Danny Gray.
