Zach Wilson is reportedly headed to the Big Easy.

The former New York Jets and Miami Dolphins quarterback agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Saints, according to Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football. Terms of the deal have not yet been reported.

Wilson spent last season with the Miami Dolphins, where he worked as one of two backups behind starter Tua Tagovailoa. He appeared in only four games and was passed over for starting duties once Tagovailoa was benched, with Miami instead opting to give Quinn Ewers a try.

In New Orleans, Wilson is joining a QB room that has a clear starter in Tyler Shough and another backup option in Spencer Rattler. Wilson is less than two months older than the 26-year-old Shough, despite having been in the league for four more years.

Wilson is now three seasons removed from his last run as starting quarterback of the New York Jets, who selected him second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. After the 2023 season, the Jets traded him to the Denver Broncos, where he worked under former Saints head coach Sean Payton for a year.
