US PC sales grow by 3% in late 2025 as companies and consumers scrambled to replace Windows 10 — 2026 forecast sees 13% drop as storage and memory prices expected to climb another 60%

Research firm Omdia says that the PC market grew by 3% in in the last quarter of 2025 due to holiday sales and the Windows 10 EOL. Unfortunately, 2026 is expected to be a rough year with an expected 13% contraction in sales due to the chip shortages.
