This week, we asked Jacksonville Jaguars fans how early the team should draft a receiver.

77% of respondents believe the Jags should target the position in Rounds 3-5. Only 7% believe the Jags should use their 56th overall pick on the position.

According to FanDuel Sportsbook, Ohio State WR Carnell Tate is the odds-on favorite to be drafted sixth overall (+175). The Cleveland Browns currently hold that pick.

If Tate were to go off the board at No. 6, it could start a run at receiver, as the Commanders (No. 7), Saints (No. 8), Chiefs (No. 9), Dolphins (No. 11), Rams (No. 13), and Ravens (No. 14) could theoretically all be eyeing the position.

How many receivers will be drafted in the first 20 picks?" is an especially relevant question for the Jaguars. An anonymous NFL executive recently told Mike Sando of The Athletic, I could see [Brian Thomas Jr.] being moved on draft day, if people's favorite receivers get picked."

Regardless of whether Thomas does get traded - I'd say there's a 5-10% chance of it happening before the season begins - the Jaguars ought to add to its receiever room at some point on draft weekend.

mnkman322Based on over expectation production in turning targets into catches, targets into passer rating, and targets into YAC the WRs the Jaguars should be considering are Makai Lemon, Jordyn Tyson, Eli Heidenreich, Omari Kelly. Lower route number receivers who could be interesting are Emmanuel Henderson and the 230 pound 4.5 40 Jaren Kanak who only really had one season as a power slot TE after being a LBer.

Maybe take a flyer on the WWE's legacy addition of Brock Rechsteiner in UDFA. He had very efficient production but was a low target percentage (15.7%) because he also played with a 6'8'' X on his college team.acedarneyWe've spent a lot of capital on receivers already, so unless the guy is going to be a stud, we're probably better off looking elsewhere.JagsAndYanksNo.JaxCommenterGuySure. I mean, the Cowboys had a great offense last year and terrible defense...and that worked out really well for them.
JaxSouthsiderWe need pass rush, and fortunately this is a draft deep in EDGE and DT. If I'm Jimmy Gladstone, 2 of my first 4 picks are pass rushers, EDGE or interior.

I think some good DPRs will fall to Day 2, maybe even Day 3, largely because teams don't want to spend a 1st on an EDGE that can't play the run well.

Unfortunately, most of the DTs in this draft are more run stoppers than interior rushers, but Gracen Halton or someone like him would be nice.

For WR, only take one if a guy really falls. Anything before Rd 4 would be a waste
