Giants signing veteran defensive tackle DJ Reader

The Giants have agreed to terms with defensive tackle DJ Reader.
SNY NFL Insider Connor Hughes reported ahead of the NFL Draft that the Giants planned to sign the 31-year-old, and now the two sides have finally agreed to terms.
Reader, initially a fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans in 2016, played four years in Houston, two years in Cincinnati, and the past two years with the Detroit Lions.
In 137 career regular season games, Reader has 328 combined tackles, 12.5 sacks, 27 tackles for loss, and 56 quarterback hits.
Reader will help fill the void left by Dexter Lawrence, who was traded to Cincinnati for the No. 10 overall pick, which the club then used to select tackle Francis Mauigoa.
