Patriots headed to Germany for international game vs. Lions
After a one-year hiatus, the New England Patriots will return to the international stage in 2026.
The reigning AFC champions are set to take on the Detroit Lions in Germany in Week 10 of the upcoming regular season. The game at Munich's Allianz Arena will kick off at 9:30 a.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 15, the Patriots confirmed on Wednesday morning.

From a scheduling perspective, the contest is counted as one of the Patriots' nine road games this season. It is the team's first international contest since a 32-16 loss to the Jaguars in London in 2024, and its first in Germany after losing 10-6 to the Colts in Frankfurt a year prior.
The Patriots returning to Germany three years removed from that particular contest is no surprise. The country, after all, is part of the organization's international marketing area alongside fellow German-speaking neighbors Austria and Switzerland.
The entire 2026 regular season schedule will be released on Thursday, May 14, in an 8 p.m. ET primetime event.
