Steelers make big changes on offensive line to begin OTAs
The Pittsburgh Steelers began their first week of OTAs on Monday, and it's already clear to see what changes they are exploring on offense. Specifically, their first-team offensive line looks much different than it did when the 2025 season ended.
The Steelers didn't bring back long-time guard Isaac Seumalo, which led to the veteran signing with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency. They also drafted Arizona State offensive tackle Max Iheanachor in the first round of the 2026 NFL Draft and Iowa offensive lineman Gennings Dunker in the third round with the intention of moving him to guard.
On the first day of OTAs, the Steelers' first team offensive line didn't feature either of the rookies, but did feature several position swaps. Troy Fautanu and Mason McCormick both went from the right side to the left side, with Fautanu playing left tackle and McCormick at left guard. Spencer Anderson was in at right guard and Dylan Cook was the right tackle while Zach Frazier being the only starter from 2025 to hold his previous position of center.
Granted, this is the first day of OTAs. It would have been a shock to see the rookies thrown in with the first team right away. However, both Fautanu and McCormick flipping sides is very noteworthy and something to monitor throughout the rest of the summer.
