Ben Johnson's offense in year one with the Chicago Bears was different than what he did with the Detroit Lions. Sure, there were similar concepts he carried over, and his running game was again among the league's best, but building a playbook around Caleb Williams is different than building one for Jared Goff, which is something we discussed a year ago on 2nd City Gridiron with Bobby Peters.

On our latest Bear & Balanced JB and I will talk with Bobby about what worked well last year for Chicago's offense, what tweaks need to be made, and also what changes we could see considering the new personnel on the team.

If you're unfamiliar with Peters' work (@b_peters12), he has written several books breaking down NFL playbooks, including the 2025 Bears. You can find his SubStack, Alert The Post, right here, and you can catch him coaching quarterbacks for Marmion High School this fall if you are in the Aurora area.

Join Bobby, JB, and me live at 8:00 p.m. CT in the embed right here, or head over to our YouTube channel to join in on the show.
