Christian Watson strikes sizable contact extension with Packers
The Green Bay Packers further shaped the future of their receiving corps by locking in another key contributor for the long term.
Wide receiver Christian Watson and the Packers on June 4 agreed to a four-year, $110.5 million contract, according to multiple reports.
The move comes a little more than a month after Green Bay struck a three-year, $50.25 million extension with fellow receiver Jayden Reed.
Yet it's hardly been status quo for the Packers' collection of pass catchers. Romeo Doubs, who led the team with 55 catches and 724 receiving yards in 2025, signed with the New England Patriots in free agency. Green Bay also later traded Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Packers are also counting on 2025 first-round pick Matthew Golden to play a heftier role in the passing attack in his second season.
Watson, 27, sat out until late October last season as he worked his way back from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered in 2024. He re-established his position as one of the NFL's pre-eminent deep threats, averaging 17.5 yards per catch while tying for the team lead in touchdown catches with six.
