With their second first-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins selected cornerback Chris Johnson out of San Diego State. According to Miami's new head coach, Jeff Hafley, the rookie has already impressed during his short stay in South Florida thus far.

However, according to the player himself, Johnson plans on making sure his career with the Dolphins lasts a long time. Speaking with NFL Network's Cam Wolfe, Johnson had this to say about his goals in Miami.

Nobody puts more pressure on me than myself. Hearing a lot of the outside noise - it really doesn't get to me because I'm my hardest critic. I want to be a perfectionist. You know, I want to be here forever and be that foundational piece."

What does he think about the high expectations that come along with being a first round draft pick in the NFL?

I hold myself to those expectations. You know, hearing them from the media and fans and stuff like that, it ain't nothing that I'm not telling myself already."

Johnson is not short on confidence, that's for sure. Let's hope his confidence can lead him to success when the games count later this year. For Wolfe's entire interview with the Dolphins rookie, click on the video below.
