Kobie Turner snubbed in top-10 list

In a survey of NFL execs, scouts, and coaches by ESPN, L.A. Rams' defensive tackle wasn't ranked in the top-10 at his position. Or even as an honorable mention.

Turner only qualified as got votes".

It's not the treatment usually given to defensive tackles with 24 sacks over their first three career seasons. Turner even added a critical red zone interception against the Seahawks in November.

The top defensive tackle on the list is Seattle's Leonard Williams. Jeffery Simmons, Jalen Carter, Chris Jones, and Derrick Brown round out the top-five.

Turner is entering a contract year, four years after being a third-round pick. He'll likely be seeking an extension within the range of $20-$25 million per season, but this narrative that he's not a top-10 defensive tackle won't help his agent. It could help the Rams in negotiations, although Turner will probably still push for more and go into free agency if L.A. doesn't give him what he wants.
