The oldest surviving Book of Revelation says the beast's number is 616

In 2005, scholars revealed a fragment of papyrus 115 containing the earliest known copy of the passage in the Book of Revelation that names the Number of the Beast. It doesn't say 666. It says 616.
Most manuscripts of Revelation 13:18 give the famous 666, and that's the number that made it into heavy metal, horror movies, and highway-exit folklore. - Read the rest
