Packers training camp preview: Questions going into 2026

Rookies are to report today to Green Bay for the Packers' 2026 training camp, and the team will host its shareholders' meeting on Monday, as long as the weather permits. So with our full attention moving forward now on training camp, I want to revisit our series breaking down every positional unit on the Packers' roster.

Quarterback

• Will the team open the passing game up more?

Running Back

• Can Anthony Belton take the next step at guard?

Defensive Line

• Will Javon Hargrave play defensive end or nose tackle?
• Who will be the third starting defensive lineman?

Edge Rusher

• Who will replace Micah Parsons opposite Lukas Van Ness this year?
• How many weeks will Parsons actually miss in the regular season?

Off-Ball Linebacker

• How much Penny or Dime will the Packers play under Jonathan Gannon?
• Are there ways to get Edgerrin Cooper on the field in those one-linebacker" sets?

Cornerback

• Who will start opposite Keisean Nixon in 2026?
• Will the team keep six on the 53-man roster?

Safety

• Will the team only keep four safeties, with Kitan Oladapo being the backup safety and slot?
• If not, who is going to emerge as the fifth safety?
