Dexter Lawrence was brought in by the Cincinnati Bengals straight up for the 10th overall pick. That brings some hefty expectations beyond just being a good player. He needs to be a player that makes everyone around him better.

So far we have seen signs of that, but it will be hard to really see until they line up Week 1 against another team.

Defensive lineman Myles Murphy has already seen the impact.

Really, just a lot of it has been like him sharing his knowledge with the defensive tackles,"Murphy told FOX19. It correlates to everyone on the D-line just getting off blocks in general. So I mean, it's been huge to have him as like another coach in a sense. So yeah, I think it helps all of us."

Lawrence has picked up plenty of tips and tricks over his time in the NFL. He has been a dominant force, and not all of that has been because of his physical ability.

The game is just as much mental-even down in the trenches-in the NFL. This is an example of why Cincinnati felt comfortable giving up that pick in the draft. Lawrence has been getting involved with teammates since the team brought him in.

He has established himself as a leader, and a guy defenders should be listening to if they want to get better

He has done all of that, and it hasn't even been an entire offseason. That shows the kind of presence Lawrence brings with him.
