2026 Broncos training camp: Day 4 live updates
Welcome to Day 4 of Denver Broncos training camp.
One unit finally got the upper hand as the pads came on for the first time on Monday. The defense made the plays that mattered giving the offense their first setback of camp. Riley Moss came down with a big time interception in 7-on-7's and Ja'Quan McMillian also had his own pass breakup. We'll see if Bo Nix and the offense can bounce back in today's camp practice.
Scotty Payne will keep you updated from the live practice with posts below.

A few highlights from #Broncos 1-on-1s today:

-Riley Moss great coverage to knock a deep ball away from Pat Bryant
-Troy Franklin with a great deep-ball-tracking rep over Jahdae Barron, also routed Barron up on an out
-Jaylen Waddle beat Pat Surtain on a slant and then spun away
Jaylen Waddle, Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims made big plays during 1-on-1s. Franklin capped off the drill with a 50-yard acrobatic TD catch from Nix.

Tough sledding for the running game on the opposite field but liked what I saw from Jonah Coleman on a couple of runs
Broncos' defensive line is HOT to start practice.
- Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) August 4, 2026
During 9on7, they got in the backfield on three-straight plays, with TFLs by Justin Strnad, Enyi Uwazurike and Zach Allen.
The first play, J.K. Dobbins had a nice run to the left.
Denver's front seven continues their hot start today. In team:
- Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) August 4, 2026
-Play action then run up the middle for a ton by Bo Nix
-Zach Allen TFL. Zach Allen with a huge TFL on J.K. Dobbins
-Jonah Elliss sack then dump off incomplete.
-Run for nothing from RJ Harvey. Defensive line all...
#Broncos defensive front is dominating today. Zach Allen dominated the first set of team reps.
- Parker Gabriel (@ParkerJGabriel) August 4, 2026
Then Tyler Onyedim and Sai'Vion Jones both stuffed plays, too. Young DLs starting to flash some now that the pads are on.
Big time run-the-ball team series has created the most physical, spirited practice of camp so far.

Appeared to hurt left leg in a drill, limped off with trainers, was grimacing. We'll hear from Sean Payton later. https://t.co/y7he9cgkmK
Bo Nix with a strike to Jaylen Waddle in the middle of the field for a gain of 15 yards, then Waddle attempts to put a move on Pat Surtain II

#Broncos CB Riley Moss just continues to make plays. Bo Nix just tested him deep 1-on-1 to Troy Franklin and Moss leapt to knock it away.
- Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) August 4, 2026
Targeting him this camp 1-on-1 has rarely worked
Pat Surtain II with a PBU on Pat Bryant.
- Zac Stevens (@ZacStevens) August 4, 2026
Offense wanted flag for PI.
#Broncos WR Hakeem Butler had a standout first couple days of camp but has had a couple really low-effort reps today. Just got beat by much smaller CB Brent Austin on go-get it free-play ball
- Luca Evans (@bylucaevans) August 4, 2026
Austin continues to have a nice camp. 5'11 UDFA CB from Cal
