Thursday was a very physical practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers that featured several brief brawls and skirmishes. It also, however, featured multiple injuries.

The most notable name to leave practice on Thursday was first-round pick offensive tackle Max Iheanachor. The Arizona State product left in the early portion of practice with a team trainer. Head coach Mike McCarthy addressed the media on Friday and said that Iheanachor will be out of practice until Monday, though the full details of the injury were not revealed, per Gerry Dulac. Additionally, McCarthy says that cornerback Brandin Echols will not practice on Friday.

While no injury is ever a good thing, it does appear that anything serious was avoided with both Iheanachor and Echols, especially if McCarthy believes the first-round pick could be back on the practice field in just a few days.

Pittsburgh's Friday practice is closed to the public due to storms in Latrobe.
