We are just about ready to kick off the second game of the 2026 preseason for our Minnesota Vikings, as they prepare to host the Baltimore Ravens in their lone home preparatory contest of the season. Let's get you caught up on all the information you need to be ready for this one.

Date and Time: Saturday, 22 August 2026, noon Central time

Location: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota

Weather: There's no weather. . .game's inside.

Television Coverage: FOX 9 in the Twin Cities, various local affiliates in several markets around the Midwest (and Alaska, apparently), NFL+ or ESPN Unlimited for out-of-market viewers

Radio Coverage:Vikings Radio Network, SiriusXM Channel 227, SiriusXM App Channel 820

Bonus: KFAN (which, again, is doing a simulcast for both radio and TV this season) has promised that new Vikings' general manager Nolan Teasley will be joining the broadcast for the entirety of the third quarter of today's game. Should be interesting to hear from the new guy in charge.

Line: Seriously, don't bet on preseason games.

Chris' Prediction: Yeah, still not making predictions on preseason games.

Three Keys

1) No injuries - Well, the Vikings couldn't check this box last week. . .stupid MetLife Stadium turf. Here's hoping that both teams can make it through today's game without suffering any significant injuries.

2) Backup quarterback battle - Kyler Murray isn't going to play today, so the Vikings are going to get a chance to sort out their backup quarterback situation. J.J. McCarthy will likely start, and he didn't put up great numbers against the Giants last week. . .but he didn't get a whole lot of help, either. Carson Wentz got some extended run thanks, in part, to the Max Brosmer injury, and he could potentially make a run at the #2 spot. We'll be keeping an eye on how things shake out.

3) Special teams issues - Last week, much like we saw last season, it seemed like there was a flag on pretty much every special teams play, particularly on punt returns. The Vikings even managed to get a punt return on a fair catch, which was impressive in a sad way. Even though a lot of those were from players who are fighting for spots at the bottom of the roster, those are the sorts of things that need to be cleaned up. Hopefully we'll see less of those sorts of things today.
