The Tampa Bay Buccaneers improved to 2-0 in the preseason Saturday night with a 16-15 comeback win over the Kansas City Chiefs, and rookie quarterback Jalon Daniels once again made his case for a roster spot.

After Tampa Bay was held scoreless in the first half, Daniels helped provide the spark. The undrafted rookie out of Kansas directed three scoring drives, including a third-quarter possession capped by his two-yard touchdown pass to tight end Ko Kieft. Tampa Bay later added a 46-yard B.T. Potter field goal before Sean Tucker's one-yard touchdown run put the Buccaneers ahead for good.

Daniels' performance continues an impressive start to his first NFL preseason. A week earlier against the Jets, he completed 10 of 15 passes for 111 yards and led two second-half touchdown drives, including a one-yard rushing score.

Daniels continues to make the most of his opportunities. With roster decisions approaching, the rookie quarterback is giving Tampa Bay plenty to think about in the competition behind Baker Mayfield and strengthening his case each week.
